Step One
Gods Purpose: Is Peace and Life
The truth is you and your God are at enmity because of sin. But God wants you to experience peace (W/God) and life–abundant and eternal.
The Bible says…
“We can have/make peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:1
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10
Why don’t most people have this peace and abundant life that God planned for us to have?
Step Two
The Problem: Our Separation
God created Man (Adam) in His own image to have an abundant life but sin changed that image. He did not make us as robots to automatically love and obey Him. God gave us a free will and liberty… and, we choose to disobey God (sin) and go our own willful way. This results in separation from God.
Isaiah 59:2 says: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
The Bible says…
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23
Our Attempts to Reach God…
People have tried many vain ways to bridge this gap between themselves and God…
The Bible says…
“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 14:12
Judges 21:25 says; “…every man did that which was right in his own eyes.”
No bridge reaches God…except one.
Step Three
Gods Bridge: The Cross
Jesus Christ shed his blood and died on the Cross and arose victorious from the grave having defeated death, hell and a lake of fire. He paid the penalty for our sin and bridged the gap between God and man.
The Bible says…
“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus .” 1 Timothy 2:5
“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit.” 1 Peter 3:18
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
God has provided the only way. Each person must make a choice. Jesus Christ himself declared in John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me”.
Step Four
Our Response: Receiving Christ as our Saviour
We must trust Jesus Christ as our Saviour and receive Him (Into our heart) by personal invitation (believing).
The Bible says…
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Revelation 3:20
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” John 1:12
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9
Where are you today ? On your way to Heaven ? Or, on your way to a Christless Hell ?
Will you receive Jesus Christ right now?
Here is how you can receive Christ:
1. Admit the fact that you are a sinner !. Rom 3:23 & Rom 6:23 (see above)
2. Be willing to turn from your sins (repent). Luke 13:3 “I tell you nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish”.
3. Believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures ! This is the Gospel whereby we must be saved. 1 Cor 15:1-4 Read Romans 10:9-10
4. Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in and save your soul from hell. (Receive Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour.)
How to Pray: Understanding that it is not the prayer that will save your soul. Just simply trusting/believing by faith.
Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner and in need of Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins (repent). I ask you to come into my heart and save my never dying soul from hell. Help me to follow you as Lord of my life.
In Jesus name. Amen.
Gods Assurance: His word
If you prayed this prayer,
The Bible says…
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13
Did you sincerely ask Jesus Christ to come into your life? Then where is He right now? In your Heart! What has He given you? Eternal life!
“For by grace are ye saved, through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God : Not of works lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8,9
Receiving Christ, we are born into Gods family through the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit who indwells every believer. This is called regeneration, or the “new birth.”
This is just the beginning of a wonderful new life in Christ. To deepen this relationship you should:
1. Get you a King James Bible and read it everyday to know Christ better and what God expects from you. John 17:17, Revelation 4:11, Hebrews 11:6
2. Talk to God in prayer every day. 1 Thessalonians 5:17
3. Tell others about Jesus Christ. Luke 24:46-47
4. Worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in an Independent King James Bible Believing Church. Hebrews 10:25
5. As Christ’s ambassador in a needy world, demonstrate your new life by your love and concern for others. Romans 14:9-14
6. You must realize that Jesus Christ died ONCE and for all for all your sins. And if you sincerely trusted Him then you are saved. First John 1:7, Hebrews 10:10
7. You must trust the scriptures as your final authority in ALL matters of faith and practice. Matthew 22:29, 2nd. Timothy 3:16
Your salvation is Eternally secure
The Bible says…
Therefore if you sincerely received Christ as your saviour then you are saved ! Now it is important for you to realize that you can never lose this gift you have received. John 10:27-30 says: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Fathers hand. I and my Father are one.” Second Timothy 1:12 says: …for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I committed unto him against that day.
