The meetings with the Spurgeon’s ended strong with a young lady getting saved!  We did not find out till the meetings were complete.  On Saturday night while every head was bowed and every eye closed she took care of business right there in her pew.  To her it was a most private moment between her and the Saviour.  This was icing on the cake for what was phenomenal meetings here.  We praise the Lord for his mercy.  We also thank the Spurgeon’s for their ministry and pray them “down the road” to their next meetings.  With little rest for the weary we almost immediately rolled into VBS the following week.  God,  again,  was merciful in saving at least one young boys soul while others raised their hands we were careful with them as they were not ready yet.  Dealing with kids is something we must be careful with as we don’t want them to have a false sense of security.  We are not about numbers here and have never associated souls saved with success.  We had a great turn out for VBS and were encouraged.  Especially since we have been so busy this summer that we were not able to “get the word out” with regards to VBS the way we would have liked.  Now its on to meetings at the end of August with Evangelist David Engesath and his wife Diana.  Bro Dave is a master potter who “sets up shop” with his pottery wheel  (which becomes his pulpit)  and makes pottery live while preaching on his favorite subject:  the judgment seat of Christ.  With fall in the air up here in Maine,  school started,  and the tourists finally heading home,  we head into the inevitable… winter.  But we will be charged up!  It has been quite a summer and the meetings continue.  After the Engesaths we have Ray Meier and his wife coming in early October.  Bro Ray is a chalk talk artist  (taught by Dr. Ruckman I believe)  and this will be fun for all involved.  After that,  we’ll see.  Always something going on here FHG.  Fasten your seat belts…
